Today I wanted to recognize the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Tomorrow will be a day off from work for many of us. It will likely be filled with barbecues, camping, and fishing trips. These are freedoms we wouldn’t have if not for the sacrifices made.
As a nurse and spiritual coach, I see a side of that sacrifice that some will never know. Many brave men and women have fought and died during war while battling the enemy. Sadly, more have died fighting a very different war and battling an invisible enemy. That enemy lies within and is the most stealth ninja anyone has ever encountered.
Mental health awareness is on the rise in our country. The stigma still exists, but it is slowly becoming a thing of the past. I want to encourage you to think about your own mental health and that of those you love. Reach out to your loved ones and check on them.
Our military men and women are heroes. Remember to honor them tomorrow and silently thank the fallen for their sacrifice. Take a moment to inventory all that you’re thankful for. Acknowledge these gifts. You’ll not only raise your own vibration but also raise the vibration of this country. Together we can rise up and bloom.
